Mrs. Havens is a second grade teacher at Stafford Elementary.  This is her fourteenth year of teaching.  She has a love for learning and would hope that her students would also learn to love learning as much as she does.  She has been fortunate enough to teach Pre-K, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade.  She graduated with her bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University.

She grew up in Bastrop, Texas and recently moved to Abilene.  She loves this area and especially Stafford!  She is blessed to have a fantastic husband, handsome fourteen-year-old son, Rob,  and a two adorable pups named Alice and Blossom.  She also has a Bearded Dragon named Rocky.  

A priority for Mrs. Havens is to make her classroom a safe, fun and inspiring place for her students.  She hopes they enjoy coming to her classroom and learning something new every day.  Mrs. Havens feels that all children have gifts and need specific attention and guidance for those gifts to flourish. She will be that for each of her students - an educator who loves each child who walks in her door and gives each of them not only an education but also a passion for learning.
