Hi! I’m excited to serve the students and families as a Social Worker for Abilene ISD. I graduated from McMurry University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology in 2009. I earned my master’s degree in Social Work from Abilene Christian University in 2014.

My passion is helping children heal after experiencing trauma. Before joining AISD, I was the Program Director for the STAR Program at New Horizons where we served children and families by providing counseling and skills training. I hope to continue to make a difference in the lives of children and their families by meeting them where they are and helping them to grow and overcome the obstacles they are facing.

I serve students and families at Taylor, Thomas, Ortiz and Dyess Elementary schools. I help to coordinate services for students at the middle and high schools based on the elementary school they attended.

During my down time and to practice self-care, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and gardening. My husband and I enjoy traveling and camping with our family and friends.
