First Grade

Welcome to First Grade at Thomas!

Welcome to Thomas Elementary first grade, where we lay the foundation for future learning.  We believe that every child is important, special, and able to learn.  Our goal is to help each child become a fluent reader, a capable writer, and successful in mathematics, science, and social studies.  The building of social skills is also practiced so that each child may be a well balanced, productive part of his or her family and community. We believe that parent support and partnership with the teachers is vital as your students develop these skills.  Our promise is that we will do everything within our power to make this a positive and successful year.
