Hello there! My name is Rebecca Barnes, and I am the Speech-Language Pathologist at Ward Elementary.
I’m proud to call Abilene home as I moved here with my husband, Patrick, and our two children in 2017.
I graduated from the University of Texas (Hook ‘Em Horns!) in 2006 with my bachelor’s degree, and UT Dallas in 2009 with my master’s degree in Communication Disorders.
I have served children in a variety of settings throughout my career as a Speech-Language Pathologist including in the schools, home health, private clinic, and teletherapy.
My goals are that every student in speech feels loved, valued, and knows the power of communication. I work with a variety of students and target articulation skills, receptive and expressive language, and social skills. It is an honor to serve our Wildcats!
