Abilene ISD kicked off the 2025-26 school year with an action-packed Convocation celebration at Beltway Park Church, complete with music, games, and giveaways. This year's theme, "Make a Splash," encouraged staff to approach the year with bold ideas, fresh commitment, and relentless positivity.

Superintendent Dr. John Kuhn welcomed employees with an encouraging message about the vital role educators play in shaping Abilene future, encouraging everyone to invest fully in the year ahead.

AISD was also honored to welcome guests from the AISD Board of Trustees, the City of Abilene, Dyess Air Force Base, McMurry University, Texas Tech Health Science Center, Communities in Schools, and the Abilene Education Foundation.
