ATEMS has been named a 2025–26 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished High School, earning national recognition for its commitment to student access, engagement, and achievement in engineering.
The honor places ATEMS among a select group of high schools across the country recognized for providing strong career-connected learning opportunities through PLTW. A national nonprofit organization, the PLTW engineering program gives high school students the chance to step into the role of an engineer through project-based work that builds both technical knowledge and essential skills for the future.
To receive the Distinguished School designation, schools must meet multiple criteria during the previous school year, including the number of PLTW courses offered, the percentage of students enrolled in PLTW, and the percentage of students taking more than one PLTW course.
