Three Abilene ISD campuses have been recognized through the 2025–26 TEPSA Student Leadership Award, a statewide honor that celebrates student leadership teams making a positive impact in their schools and communities. This year’s Abilene ISD recipients are Bassetti Elementary School, Taylor Elementary School, and Craig Middle School.
The award was established by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) to recognize outstanding PK–8 student leadership teams across Texas. TEPSA highlights the many ways these students serve others, including leading kindness campaigns, supporting literacy efforts, mentoring younger students, and building school spirit.
This recognition reflects the leadership happening on Abilene ISD campuses and the way students are already learning to serve and lead.
