Mann STEAM Academy welcomed students back to school with a fresh new look, thanks to a campus beautification project made possible by Keep Abilene Beautiful.

“It’s our goal every year to improve the curb appeal of our campus, and this is the massive update we were needing,” Principal Chad Drake said.

Keep Abilene Beautiful partnered with Masterscapes to update the landscaping at the campus entrance over the summer. The completed project was celebrated with a ribbon cutting alongside the Red Coats from the Abilene Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Drake thanked Keep Abilene Beautiful for investing in Mann and supporting the school’s students and families.

The partnership will continue throughout the school year with a $1,000 donation from Keep Abilene Beautiful to local nonprofit From Boys to Gentlemen. Students participating in the youth mentoring program will help maintain the new landscaping and keep Mann’s entrance looking its best.

Abilene ISD is grateful to Keep Abilene Beautiful, From Boys to Gentlemen, Masterscapes, and the Abilene Chamber of Commerce for investing in our schools and supporting the Mann community.
