Abilene High School students Corbin Barbarick and Asher Jessup have been named Commended Students in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, recognizing their outstanding academic achievement and promise.

Barbaric and Jessup are among the top 3% of students nationwide who entered the National Merit Scholarship competition by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). 

Both students will receive Letters of Commendation in recognition of their accomplishments. Congratulations to Cobrin and Asher on this prestigious recognition!
