For the second year in a row, Abilene ISD has been named a CTE District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT), recognizing the district's continued commitment to providing high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities that prepare students for success in college, careers, and beyond.

The statewide distinction recognizes school districts for excellence in CTE programming, including innovative programs of study, industry-based certifications, strong business and community partnerships, and student outcomes. AISD will be formally recognized during the upcoming CTAT Winter Leadership Conference alongside other districts demonstrating excellence in CTE across Texas.

CTE programs in Abilene ISD prepare students to enter post-secondary education or the workforce in high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand careers. Through 12 programs of study, students have opportunities to develop valuable career skills, gain hands-on learning experience, and earn industry-based certifications.
