The 2026-27 school year is right around the corner, and Abilene ISD is reminding families to complete annual registration or new student enrollment as soon as possible!
Completing this process early helps campuses prepare for staffing, schedules, transportation, and resources, while also helping families receive important back-to-school updates in a timely manner.
Registration for Returning Students
Annual registration is required for all returning AISD students each school year. Families can complete registration for each student here.
Registering early helps families stay connected and receive important information, including back-to-school dates, teacher assignments when available, transportation details, and campus updates.
New Student Enrollment
Abilene ISD looks forward to welcoming new students and families for the 2026-27 school year, including students entering pre-k, kindergarten, and families who are new to the district.
Families enrolling a student who has not previously attended AISD will first create a Frontline Parent Portal account, then upload required documents and complete enrollment forms.
Please have the following documents ready:
Birth certificate
Social security number
Immunization records
Parent/guardian ID
Proof of residence, such as a utility bill, lease, or mortgage documentation
Families can also use the district’s attendance zone information to find the school assigned to their home address.
Need Help? Attend the Enrollment Event
Families who need help completing annual registration or new student enrollment are invited to attend Abilene ISD’s districtwide enrollment event July 23–24 at the Abilene Convention Center.
The event will provide in-person support for registration, enrollment, required documents, transportation information, and other back-to-school needs.
Event times are:
Thursday, July 23: 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Friday, July 24: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
