WHAT SCHOOL DID YOU ATTEND?  Born in Malawi, Africa to missionary parents; immigrated to Texas 1980 for last two years of high school; attended Lubbock Christian University, Abilene Christian University and Texas Tech University. Ph.D in Agricultureal Communicaton and Education.

TELLS US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY  Married to Danetta Shelburne for 32 years; seven children, four biological and three adopted, youngest two are students at Taylor Elementary and Abilene High;

TELL US SOMETHING INTERESTING ABOUT YOURSELF  Spent 15 years of my career working in Malawi and Uganda (cross-cultural adult education, community development, and church ministry).

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?  Learning how my students learn, developing a level of relationship with them that builds confidence on their part that they are important and valued, and the opportunity to get acquainted with each one’s extraordinary personality and gifts.
