Austin Elementary Home of the Raiders!
50's Day at Austin Elementary

Austin Elementary School

Established 1959

Located in the Brookhollow neighborhood in southwest Abilene, Austin serves 600 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. It is the “family atmosphere” at our school that makes it such a special place. The Stephen F. Austin family includes teachers, families, students and community members working together to make sure that all of our students achieve their full potential. With this winning combination, we hope to continue serving students and making Austin a great place to learn. Our PTO offers many opportunities for volunteering during the school year.  PTO sponsors a Fall Fest, 50’s Day, Yearbook, Imaginations, Good Citizen Rewards called All Stars, and other amazing and meaningful activities throughout the year.  Please join the Austin PTO so that you will be well informed of all the ways you can help as well as events that your family will not want to miss!

Austin has had a winning tradition and continues to be a leader among Abilene schools.  Austin has received 2 Distinctions from the Texas Education Agency from the 2014-2015 accountability system.  This honor goes to 5% of Texas Public Schools for demonstrating high performance in all subjects compared to other schools serving similar student populations.
