Welcome to Bowie Elementary
Home of the Bobcats
At Bowie Elementary, our mission is to educate and motivate students by meeting their individual needs in an engaging, positive learning environment. Through the joint partnership of parents, teachers, and community members, we cultivate and celebrate leadership in our students and encourage them to reach their full potential.
We are proud to be a Leader in Me campus as we use Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Successful Kids to guide our instruction and school culture. We work to empower our students and families with Leader in Me values. All students grow to positively impact their classes, home, campus, and community.  Students are inspired to take charge of their learning and behavior, as they take ownership of their choices.  With these leadership skills in place our Bobcats have the confidence to create their own successful future!
In 2020, Bowie was designated as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School! This honor reflects years of dedication to leadership training, teaching, and application.

HERE’S WHAT OUR FAMILIES HAVE TO SAY ABOUT BOWIE ELEMENTARY:
“Since (my child) started at Bowie last year she las learned so much – from numbers to letters, writing, reading, improved manners with people, and better social skills. And we absolutely love the staff at Bowie. (My child) talks about her teachers so much, and we couldn’t thank all the staff enough for being so great.”
“Bowie Elementary has been a positive experience for both my kids. The teachers and staff are excellent and take time with the children as individuals. There is always something from field trips to family nights to keep things fun. The AR point program keeps the students reading, and the Gifted and Talented program awards students for hard work and encourages them to keep reading.”
“Bowie Elementary and the amazing staff that work there has been so understanding to my family’s particular situation. They have worked closely with my children to make sure they didn’t fall behind. They welcomed them back for the 2018-19 school year with open arms! They treat you like family.”
“Our family has been a part of the Bowie Elementary community for five years now and are glad to have more years to go. We have LOVED working with Mrs. Jones and her awesome staff to help our girls grow academically, emotionally, socially, physically, and mentally. The team at Bowie truly cares about their students and go above and beyond what is expected to show how they are dedicated to the families they serve. There have been victories as well as challenges over the years. The faculty and staff at Bowie have been supportive, encouraging, and resourceful as we work together to help our young people navigate life. The 7 Habits curriculum has been very helpful at school and home. Our whole family applies the principles and quotes them often. We are thankful and proud to be Bowie Bobcats.”
“Bowie has been so helpful to my children’s education. The staff at Bowie are patient and kind. The staff really cares about my children and their future.”
