Martinez Tigers

As always, the safety and security of AISD students, families, teachers and staff is our top priority. While we know that these are uncertain times, you can be assured that we remain committed to doing everything in our power to protect our school communities. We can’t wait to see our students again and look forward to a successful 2021-22 school year in the AISD!

Speak Up for Safety

Some examples of reasons to reach out for help for yourself or others are bullying, violence, personal health, suicide prevention, or a crisis at home. If this is an emergency or life-threatening to the student or others, please call 911.

Get Excited! AISD

Almost two of every three voters said “YES!” to our students in the 2018 bond election. They approved plans to spend $138.6 million on new facilities that will benefit elementary, middle and high school students for many years. The NEW facilities for academics, athletics, and the arts will help our dedicated teachers continue the quality education our students deserve.

Myra P. Martinez Elementary is named in memory of a passionate educator who served Abilene ISD. Martinez Elementary was built in the neighborhoods once served by Fannin and College Heights – two elementary schools at which Myra Martinez once taught. Built on the original site of Franklin Middle School, the campus is located on the corner of North 12th Street and Merchant Street.
