Welcome to Taylor Elementary, home of the Mighty Trojans!  Since opening in 1955 in the northeast corner of Abilene, Taylor has established and maintained a tradition of excellence and enthusiasm for learning in AISD. In January 2021, Taylor Elementary moved to a new state of the art campus on EN 10th Street. The new building provides space for collaboration and a Makerspace for students to explore STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Franklin Covey’s Leader in Me recognizes Taylor as a Lighthouse School for implementation of The 7 Habits and student leadership opportunities.

We are located in the northeast corner of Abilene, where we serve 600+ students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Our community consist of a diverse group that works together to achieve our school’s mission.
