Stafford Lions

As always, the safety and security of AISD students, families, teachers and staff is our top priority. While we know that these are uncertain times, you can be assured that we remain committed to doing everything in our power to protect our school communities. We can’t wait to see our students again and look forward to a successful 2021-22 school year in the AISD!

Speak Up for Safety

Some examples of reasons to reach out for help for yourself or others are bullying, violence, personal health, suicide prevention, or a crisis at home. If this is an emergency or life-threatening to the student or others, please call 911.

Get Excited! AISD

Almost two of every three voters said “YES!” to our students in the 2018 bond election. They approved plans to spend $138.6 million on new facilities that will benefit elementary, middle and high school students for many years. The NEW facilities for academics, athletics, and the arts will help our dedicated teachers continue the quality education our students deserve.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Hello! My name is Melissa Scott and I am honored to serve as Principal at Stafford Elementary. I began my career in education in 2011 and have been part of Abilene ISD since 2014. I received my undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University and my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Texas in Arlington. In Abilene ISD, I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work at both Reagan Elementary and Clack Middle School.

At Stafford Elementary, we are dedicated to academic excellence and preparing each child to be successful. We have the hardest-working group of educators that are passionate about ensuring that all students learn at high levels. We are here for you and your family. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!

Sincerely,

Melissa Scott

Stafford Elementary sits on the corner of North 10th and Pioneer Drive, adjacent to the Lee Athletic Complex. Stafford serves a diverse population of approximately 450 students. Built in 1961, Stafford was later expanded to its current layout.

We are dedicated to providing an excellent education for our students. We are also dedicated to teaching the virtues necessary for students’ success, enabling them to make a positive contribution to our country through things such as honesty, respect, and pride in a job well-done. We realize that family, community, church, and school all play a part in a child’s education.

We invite everyone to come and see the wonderful things that are happening at Stafford Elementary.
