ABILENE — Abilene High’s Class 6A Division II third-round football playoff game against Denton Guyer on Saturday will not be live-streamed on AISD-TV’s Facebook page but instead will be broadcast online on the NFHS Network.

The Eagles (7-4 and winners of six straight games) and Wildcats (9-2 and riding a four-game winning streak) will meet at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The winner advances to the state quarterfinals to play the winner of Saturday morning’s third-round game between Eaton and Prosper. The Eaton-Prosper game will kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday at Globe Life Park.

The NFHS Network informed the AISD late Tuesday afternoon that it would pick up the AHS-Guyer game meaning AISD-TV would not be able to stream the game for free on its Facebook page.Fans can watch Saturday’s AHS-Guyer game at this link (https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/events/uil/gam6758c6eb03) but will have to pay to watch the game online.

Fans can listen to the game at 98.1 FM The Ticket (98theticket.com online) and catch a replay next week on Cable Channel 2 (Suddenlink) in Abilene.

Fans who are planning to attend the game in Arlington can only purchase tickets through the Texas Rangers’ online ticketing website (https://www.mlb.com/rangers/ballpark/globe-life-park/events/football). Fans can purchase tickets for $12 online and a parking pass for $15 online, print their tickets and parking pass at home and take them to the stadium.

In addition, fans attending the game must adhere to the stadium’s strict no-bag policy when entering the stadium. Only participants in the game – players, coach, cheerleaders and working press — will be allowed to take a bag / backpack into the stadium. Other exceptions include medical bags or diaper bags. Also, masks will be required for entry into the stadium and must be worn at all times. And a NO RE-ENTRY policy will be enforced.
