Students from both Abilene High School and Cooper High School competed in the Texas Music Educators’ Association Region 6 All-Region Jazz Band auditions Sept. 20-21 at CHS.
AHS sophomore Cole Elders earned first chair on the baritone saxophone and was selected for both the All-Area and the All-Region Jazz Band. Cooper senior Kaden Miller earned first chair on bass guitar and was also selected for both All-Area and All-Region.
The Abilene High School jazz band is under the direction of Dr. Jon Kraemer. The Cooper High School jazz band is under the direction of John Landin.
