WHAT HER BOSS SAYS ABOUT HER: “Mrs. Goode joined the Ortiz ALLSTAR Team in August of 2016. She teaches 5th grade science and loves to see that spark of learning in each student’s eye. Last year, Mrs. Goode was asked to join the Ortiz Lighthouse Team.  She accepted this position even though it was her first time at a Leader In Me School. Mrs. Goode worked to internalize the seven habits and make her classroom a place where leaders are cultivated.  This year was Ortiz’s first time to implement Leader In Me clubs. She took this project on and lead the way beautifully. She created a student survey to help pair students up with their club of interest. She helped organize the campus into clubs to give our students experiences beyond books. This has been a total success because of the service and leadership that Mrs. Goode has provided to our campus. This is just one example of how Mrs. Goode exemplifies leadership qualities each and every day. Mrs. Goode is a team player and seeks to help our school be a positive place for students to learn and grow. We are thankful that Mrs. Goode is an Ortiz ALLSTAR!” – Debra Stewart, Principal, Ortiz Elementary School
