The District of Innovation Plan Committee met for their final time earlier this week and unanimously approved to move the language for the district’s new group medical health insurance innovation forward to the board. The draft plan will be posted on the AISD website for the upcoming 30 days and the commissioner of education, Mike Morath, has been notified of the district’s intent to move forward with the renewal process.

The draft plan includes each area of Innovation from the original plan approved in 2018 without modification, along with one addition area of Innovation listed as #3 “T.E.C. Section §21.004 (i); Preclusion from providing Alternative Uniform Group Coverage Program.”
