ABILENE – Registration for the 2020-21 school year in the Abilene ISD continues with this week serving as the deadline for all transfers to enroll in the AISD. The cutoff date for transfers to register for the 2020-21 school year in Abilene is Thursday, July 16.

Any late transfer applications submitted between July 17-Aug. 31 will not be reviewed until mid-September, after classroom counts are established on campuses the first three weeks of school. All Round Two Transfer applications must received no later than Sept. 30.

The only applications considered after Aug. 31 will be those for new students relocating to Abilene on or after Sept. 1, 2020 or for staff that are relocated to another campus after Sept. 1, 2020. These students must submit an application within 10 business days of enrolling (or staff relocating to a new campus).

Procedures for 2020-2021 Transfer Requests

Applications should be e-mailed to Kimberly.mannke@abileneisd.org. Transfers will not be accepted prior to the actual date of acceptance. There will be no staff to accept transfers that are sent prior to this date.

Transfers must be renewed every year for accurate and efficient campus planning. NO transfers are renewed or extended without re-application and approval, in writing, through the Office of Student Services. All parents will be notified by mail as quickly as possible of the transfer decision. Denied applications may appeal the decision to an appeal committee, which will meet on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020. Proof of residence (water, electric, gas, lease/mortgage in your and/or your spouse’s name, no disconnect notice) must be provided with application.
