Both Abilene High and Cooper High bands received Division 1 ratings in both categories at the UIL Music Region VI East Zone High School Band Concert & Sightreading Contest on March 29 at Abilene Wylie High School.
Five of the six AISD bands performing at the contest received Sweepstakes awards by earning Division 1 ratings in both concert and sightreading .

Class 6A Varsity:
Abilene High School: Concert – Division 1, Sightreading – Division 1 (Sweepstakes)
Class 6A Non-Varsity:
Abilene High School: Concert – Division 1, Sightreading – Division 1 (Sweepstakes)
Class 6A Sub Non-Varsity:
Abilene High School: Concert – Division 3, Sightreading – Division 2
Class 5A Varsity:
Cooper High School: Concert – Division 1, Sightreading – Division 1 (Sweepstakes)
Class 5A Non-Varsity:
Cooper High School: Concert – Division 1, Sightreading – Division 1 (Sweepstakes)
