ABILENE — As the 2020-21 school year ends Thursday, the Abilene ISD is already gearing up for Summer School to help students meet promotional criteria or want to take a high school course for acceleration.

Summer school at each level is set to begin on Monday, June 7 and run through Thursday, July 1. Elementary Summer School will meet at Johnston Elementary School (soon to be renamed Purcell Elementary School), while middle school Summer School will meet at Clack Middle School. High School Summer School is scheduled will be hosted by Cooper High School.

Registration for middle school and high school Summer School can take place through Thursday, May 27, by contacting the home campus counselor. Late registration for middle school will be Thursday, June 3, at Clack Middle School, while late registration for high school be Thursday, June 3, at the Cooper High School library.
