Shea Roberson

Welcome!  My name is Shea Lea Roberson.  I teach both the Education and Training and Early Childhood Programs, Child Development, and I also serve as the sponsor for the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE).  I received my BA in Family Consumer Science-Child Development in 1998 from Harding University. Over the past 20 years, I have worked as a professional trainer for child care personnel and as a Program Director of an Early Head Start, of GracePointe Child Development Center, and, most recently, of Young Children’s World at Highland Church of Christ. Simultaneously, I’ve worked as an Adoption Specialist, a Child Care Resource and Referral Agent, and a Social Worker. In 1996, I married my high school sweetheart, Matt Roberson, and a couple years later, we moved to Tallahassee, FL, for graduate school at Florida State University, where we quickly became Seminole fans.  Go NOLES!!  After 7 years, we moved to Montgomery, AL, and in 2012, we moved to Abilene, TX, for my husband to work at ACU.  We have four children, all of which attend AISD schools (Thomas, Craig, and AHS), 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, and a bunch of chickens. Parents, if you have any questions about the Education and Training Program, or if your child thinks they want to be a teacher or work in the child-care industry, I would love to talk with you. shea.roberson@abileneisd.org 325-671-1731 ext. 8459
