Welcome Military Families
AISD is proud to welcome military families to our schools and the Abilene area! Our goal is to support you through the challenges of deployment, relocation, and learning life in a new city. Below, you’ll find valuable information and resources to assist you. Welcome to AISD!
The Mission of the Abilene Independent School District is to provide exceptional educational opportunities in an environment that will produce graduates with the skills necessary to become productive, responsible citizens.
We’re happy you’re here
If you are part of a military family who has been transferred to Dyess AFB, we’re here for you. Any parent or guardian who is an active-duty member of the United States Armed Forces or Reserve Armed Forces may enroll children in Abilene ISD schools.
To get started, please contact AISD Student Services (email@example.com). Be prepared to tell us where you plan to live and the ages of your children to be enrolled with us, and we will let you know which campuses your students may attend. We will also notify the campuses so they are prepared to support you.
Thank you for joining Abilene ISD! We look forward to helping you and your children experience an easy transition into our schools and community. If you have any questions, please call AISD Student Services at 325.677.1444, ext. 8764.
Dyess AFB School Liaison Officer
The Dyess School Liaison Officer is here to help parents ease the impact of the mobile military lifestyle on their children. This person provides information prior to a move, upon arrival, and while stationed at an installation. One of the important roles of the School Liaison Officer is to connect families, schools, and the military community in order to facilitate the educational transition and academic experience of military children.
