Meet The Librarian

I attended Taylor Elementary, Franklin Middle School, and Abilene High School. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Abilene Christian University in 2003 and began my career in AISD teaching secondary English. In 2019 I completed a Master’s degree in Library Media Information from Southern Arkansas University and began working as the librarian at Magnolia High School. In 2021, my husband, Brandon, and I returned to our alma maters. He is the baseball coach at Cooper, and I am excited to return to Abilene High as the librarian. We have two kids, Eydie and Gavin.

I love being with high schoolers, creating a welcoming environment in the library, and helping to foster a love for reading. In addition to reading, I enjoy backpacking, traveling, and spending time with my family.
