My name is Karen Cluck, and I am the A&P and RDA Instructor at Holland Medical High School. I have been teaching at Holland since 2008. I am a Registered Medical Technologist and a Registered Dental Assistant. I grew up in Austin, Texas, and I came to Abilene to attend Hardin-Simmons University. What a beautiful place to learn! After graduating from HSU, I worked in the lab at Hendrick for 6 years in the Microbiology Department. I decided I wanted to teach in 1998 and earned my Biology teaching certification in 1999. Since then, I have also earned my Health Science teaching certificate and my Registered Dental Assistant certification. I taught Biology and Anatomy & Physiology in Anson ISD for 3 years. Currently at Holland Medical High School, I teach Anatomy & Physiology, Registered Dental Assisting, and I also help with CNA classes on Friday mornings. I have a true passion for medicine and teaching, and this is the perfect marriage of the two!
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 21 years. We have 3 beautiful children, Brady (18), Tyler (15), and McKenna (13), who are all Abilene ISD students. They are my world!
