Hello, My name is David Earnest.  I have been in education as a teacher since 1997 and I was a Teachers Assistant the two previous years.  Prior to teaching I had worked in Criminal Justice.  I have also proudly served our country as a Medic in the United States Army during which time I was in Operation Desert Storm.  Working with children with disabilities is the most rewarding vocation I've ever done.  I have taught in several districts around Texas, but being an Abilene boy (Wylie High School, class of 1978), my heart always wanted to come home.  I'm married to a fabulous lady named Stephanie.  We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren! My assistants are Shelley Fanning and Maggie Aguirre.  Shelley is in her second year in education, but has done senior foster care for 12 years.  Maggie has worked for Abilene ISD previously but was working for a residential facility that assists adults with disabilities.  I have the 2 best assistants in Abilene ISD.
