Donna Alexander

I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve as the Instructional Coordinator for Ortiz Elementary. I have been in education since 2003, getting my Bachelors through the University of Texas at Tyler and my Masters in Educational Administration through Lamar University, and have served as a teacher, mentor, grade level leader, and department leader. In each of my roles, I have sought to reinforce the success of students and school community members, as it is my priority that all students are afforded the quality education they deserve, from loving and nurturing staff members who feel appreciated and valued. My goal is to ensure students are safe and enjoy their learning environment, while simultaneously supporting Administration, and celebrate the dedicated staff members who support the growth of each student academically and socially. Abilene ISD has a long, proud tradition of academic success grounded in a family atmosphere. Working together with staff and parents, I am confident we will be able to build upon this history and, in the process, provide the exemplary education our students deserve. I am proud to be a part of Ortiz Elementary and work alongside an amazing group of students, parents, and educational professionals who are committed to making our community and world a better place.
