Yearbook
Mrs. Billie Walker is the yearbook advisor at Madison Middle School. She works with 8th-grade leadership and staff to create a Jostens yearbook.
They learn software, journalism, editing and revising, layout and design, leadership skills, photographic skills, sales, marketing, and distribution skills.
The 8th-grade leadership and advisor also work with 7th-grade junior staffers in an afterschool club to film the BISN News.
This usually begins in October with the advent of interviews for production and talent positions.
The 8th-grade leadership mentors the 7th-grade News staff along with the director and Producer.
Our after-school club learns the same skills and with each leadership job, they take on.
They are then ready to apply and interview to take the 8th-grade leadership positions for the new year.
