My name is Heidi Carmichael. I grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I came to Abilene and attended Lincoln Middle School and Cooper High school.  I've lived in Germany as a young adult and speak English, Spanish and German fluently.  I have seven adult children and four granddaughters.  I have an undergrad and graduate degree from Abilene Christian University.  I have taught in AISD for five years. Before that I taught and worked in the Champaign/Urbana school district in Illinois.  I homeschooled my own children before I started teaching professionally. I love kids and I enjoy teaching.  My favorite thing about teaching Spanish is making culture and language come to life!  This is my first all-day at ATEMS school year in AISD. Come by my classroom upstairs to say hola. And if you are a parent, I'm excited to meet you this year. I'm looking forward to Spanish Club, STCO, and helping with SEC Advisory in addition to teaching Spanish!  I look forward to a fabulous Phoenix year!!
