The Crockett Early Head Start program provides services to promote health, behavioral health, and safety for children and families. The Foundations of Lifelong Health Are Built in Early Childhood. Healthy development supports learning throughout childhood and later life. A CHILD’S HEALTH INFLUENCES SCHOOL READINESS. HEALTHY CHILDREN ARE READY TO LEARN.

Crockett Health Services is supported by 3 nurse’s – 2 RN’s and 1 LVN. The nursing staff serve families in helping with the child’s medical and oral health needs and concerns.

Healthy Children are Ready to Learn

Children who access ongoing health care have better attendance and are more engaged in learning. Consistent attendance helps children prepare for school. Routines such as handwashing help children stay healthy. Good nutrition is essential for children’s brain development. Children who have access to nutritious food have energy to learn. 

Services for pregnant mothers and expectant families set the stage for children’s health and development. Prenatal and postpartum services promote positive health outcomes for mothers and children.
