Myra P. Martinez Elementary is named in memory of a passionate educator who served Abilene ISD. Martinez Elementary was built in the neighborhoods once served by Fannin and College Heights – two elementary schools at which Myra Martinez once taught. Built on the original site of Franklin Middle School, the campus is located on the corner of North 12th Street and Merchant Street. At Martinez Elementary, we are Leader In Me campus where we are developing future leaders.
