Reading – LLI

Literacy Success (LLI) is an early intervention program aimed at first and second grade students who need extra help in learning to read. We meet everyday for 30 minutes in the Literacy Success class. Class size is limited to 3-6 students per class. In Literacy Success, students learn phonemes, phonics rules, word recognition strategies, sight words, reading comprehension and improved fluency skills. We enjoy reading two new books a week and they only have homework on Mondays! The goal of Literacy Success is to get students on grade level so they will be able to succeed in the classroom with their peers. We want our students to not only love school, but to LOVE reading!
