Abilene ISD offers instructional programs in Kindergarten through grade twelve for students who are identified as gifted and talented in the area of general intellectual ability.
Differentiation for Identified Gifted Students
Identified students in all grade levels are served through differentiated instruction in the core subject areas. Opportunities are designed to extend the depth and complexity of academic endeavors.
PACE (reaching POTENTIAL through ACCELERATION, CREATIVITY and ENRICHMENT)
Alcorta Elementary offers PACE, a pull-out program for 3rd-5th grade students, designed to extend the scope of instruction beyond the parameters of the core curriculum. Critical and creative thinking are emphasized in a wide variety of applications related to many interest areas. Students develop skills in research, product development, and communication of ideas.
