Second Grade

Sprint into a world of courageous adventures! Second grade strives to expand into higher levels of learning with unforgettable experiences. Developing as readers, leaders, scientists, authors, and mathematicians motivated by the love of learning is our number one goal.

Second graders will practice strategies for success in math facts fluency, math problem-solving skills along with setting and exceeding reading goals. We will create and transform students into strong independent learners.

Second grade is an exciting year! We will host a Living Museum, participate in the city-wide Fire Prevention Poster Contest, take a field trip to the Planetarium, the Grace Museum, the State Park, and create art projects with The Art Lady.

Together, we will grow personally and academically using the “The 7 Habits of Happy Kids” and instilling a growth mindset for all.
