Parent Coordinator

As a parent coordinator, my main responsibility is attendance. This includes keeping track of students being tardy and organizing attendance hearings. I am also the person who will call if your child is not at school.

Another responsibility I have is helping teachers fulfill the five categories of our parent involvement. It takes a lot of parent involvement for a child to be successful in school, so I aid the teachers in organizing all the documentation. Thirdly, I organize and plan all parent involvement activities. I do this by coordinating two parent centers a year, two parent advisory committee meetings, and participating as a representative on our school-wide planning committee.
