I am proud to be a former Dyess Jet myself, returning to Dyess Elementary exactly 30 years after I entered for the first time as a student. I, and the majority of my family, are all products of Abilene ISD with the first of my family graduating from Cooper High School in 1973 and the last, my oldest son, graduating in 2019. I have been married to my husband, Anthony, since 1995 and we have two sons, Teryl, who just graduated from Cooper High School and aspires to soon be an Abilene firefighter and Ayden, currently an 8th grader at Clack Middle School. My favorite time of year is fall because there is nothing better than wearing a hoodie and cheering on my Cooper Cougars at a Friday Night Texas high school football game.
I love being the campus secretary at Dyess Elementary. I could not ask for a better faculty and staff and truly believe being here with these students and parents is absolutely where I have always belonged. The diversity and compassion we have at Dyess Elementary cannot be found on any other campus. Our motto, “One Team, One Mission, Every Child” says everything this faculty and staff believe about our students and community.
