The Purchasing Office is the business office within Abilene ISD responsible for oversight and acquisition of goods, services, construction, and professional services requested by the District’s schools and departments. It operates within state and federal law, school board policies and sound business practices.
Abilene ISD Purchasing Office uses an online electronic bidding system called E-bid. This electronic system allows the Purchasing Office to maintain accurate information about registered Vendors and the goods and/or services they want to sell to the District. Vendors must register in the E-bid system. Once registered, the Vendor is electronically notified of bid opportunities that are relevant to their business and allows Vendors to electronically submit their bids to the Purchasing Office for evaluation.
