Rickey Wallace, Director

Rickey Wallace serves as the Director of Facilities for the Abilene Independent School District. He graduated from Plainview High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Lubbock Christian University and a master’s degree from Abilene Christian University. After serving as the Assistant Director of Maintenance since 2015, he began the role of Director of Facilities in 2021.

Mr. Wallace is married to Lee, a teacher with the Abilene ISD. He has two daughters, and they are both proud products of the Abilene ISD.

Michael Scott, Facilities Services Coordinator

Michael Scott serves as the Facilities Services Coordinator for the Abilene Independent School District. He graduated from Hereford High School and earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University. Mike has served AISD as a coach and science teacher at Abilene High for 9 years, and as an Energy Specialist for 9 years. Prior to coming to Abilene, he had coaching stops in Garland, Friona, Mesquite, and Pittsburg.

Mr. Scott has a son and two daughters who all are graduates of AISD. Mike is married to Linda Scott, who is also a teacher.

Bryan Mannke, Maintenance Coordinator

Bryan Mannke serves as the Facility Maintenance Coordinator for the Abilene Independent School District. He graduated from Eastland High School. He graduated from NJATC, became a Licensed Electrician. Worked for Quality Services International, as the Facility Maintenance Manager located Dyess AFB 7th Med group. Promoted to the Corporate office as the Corporate Safety Manager/ Quality Control Manager.

Mr. Mannke is married to Kimberly, a secretary for the Superintendent and Board of Trustees of Abilene ISD.

Abilene Independent School District is made up of 318 buildings and approximately 7,461,763 gross sq feet.

The Facilities Department is comprised of the following shops: Building, Electrical, Energy Management, Custodial Services, General Facilities HVAC, Paint and Plumbing.
