Cindy Earles
Mrs. Earles is a product of AISD, graduating from Abilene High School in 1973. She received her degree in Education from Abilene Christian University and taught in AISD for three years. While raising four children, she worked as a substitute teacher in the district for an additional 15 years. Her husband, Eddie, is a retired AISD teacher who spent 32 years in the classroom. Three of the Earles’ children – Jamie, Katey and Brody – are AISD graduates and the youngest, Molly, is a student at Abilene High.
Mrs. Earles has served as a volunteer and community leader in numerous areas, mainly in the area of education. She has been active in local PTA organizations and served four years on the Texas PTA State Board. Most recently, she spent 12 years as a member of the AISD District-Wide Consultation Committee in which she served as chairman for 11 years. Mrs. Earles has also been a member of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce’s Education Council and Teacher of the Year Committee and the Abilene Preservation League’s Railroad Festival Committee.
The Earles family attends Hillcrest Church of Christ where she teaches a Bible class for 4-year-olds.
