Christopher Bailey

Dr. Christopher Bailey serves as Executive Director for Behavior and Student Supports for the Abilene Independent School District where he leads a team that is dedicated to removing barriers to learning and providing socio-emotional, behavioral, and mental health supports. Prior to his current role, Dr. Bailey served as principal for Clack Middle School for three years. He also served as an administrator for six years and as a band director for nine years in the Katy Independent School District. Dr. Bailey regularly presents professional development sessions at state and national conventions in the areas of leadership development, inclusion for special learners, and vertical teaming for student success. He earned his Doctor of Education and Master of Music degrees from Baylor University as well as his Bachelor of Music degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Dr. Bailey is a member of the Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. Dr. Bailey is a proud supporter of public education and community schools.
