Linda Langston
Linda was born and raised in Abilene, Texas, where she graduated from Abilene High School in 1971. Her nursing education was received at Hardin Simmons, University of Texas and Mary Meek School of Nursing. Nursing degree was received in 1975. Her nursing experience has been in OB, Surgery, ICU, Dialysis and Emergency Room. Linda’s favorite area of nursing was Labor and Delivery, where she worked for 28 years. She passed the National Certification of Inpatient Obstetric Nursing exam in 1987. Six of these years, she was the Educator for Women’s and Children’s Department.
Linda has been the school nurse at Johnston Elementary from 1993-1998 and at Lincoln Middle School from 1998-2003. She became the Director of Health Services in June of 2008.
Linda has three grown daughters that attended Abilene ISD. Lindsay is a RN, Megan is a first grade teacher in Mesquite ISD, and Jordan is an accountant at Hendrick Medical Center. She is the proud grandmother of Lucy Jones and Claire Ann Hardaway.
