Jeffrey Brokovich

Mr. Brokovich began serving Abilene ISD in the fall of 1989 as a fifth grade teacher at Alta Vista and Thomas elementary schools—primarily in mathematics and science. In the fall of 1994, he began serving in administrative roles. He served as an administrative officer with Curriculum and Instruction, assistant principal at Thomas, Bonham, and Bowie elementary schools, principal at Alta Vista, Ortiz, Austin, and Johnston Elementary Schools, Director of Instruction, Executive Director of Federal Programs, Executive Director of Elementary Education, Human Capital Coordinator, and currently serves as the Director of Instructional Planning.

Mr. Brokovich began his formal education at the University of Kansas and transferred his studies to McMurry College in Abilene where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with specializations in mathematics and reading in 1989. He earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Tarleton State University in 1994 and a Mid-Management certification from Abilene Christian University in 1995.

Mr. Brokovich has resided in Abilene since August of 1986. He has been married to his wife Laura since 1989 and is the father of four children—all of whom are proud to be products of Abilene ISD and the Abilene community.
